From Schools

‘We would really like to thank you for the lovely way you supported the staff and children in our school this week. You have been an inspiration to us all, and we know that many children will remember how you have shared your talent and love for willow- this will stay with them for a long time!’
Mary, Nicky and all at Perry Wood School

‘…Thank you for the excellent work you have done in constructing the willow tunnel… it is a fantastic ‘edifice’ and the skill you demonstrated in its creation is truly astounding… of course the lovely thing about the tunnel is that it will continue to grow and develop over time, just as the children will themselves.’
C. Wiles, Upton Snodsbury First School

‘Thank you for your contribution to two very productive days. The children’s response to the activities was very positive and their evaluations prove that they thoroughly enjoyed learning new skills and having the opportunity for making such an important and permanent contribution to the school environment’
C. Evans, Franche Middle School, Kidderminster

Dear Paul and Steph,
Thank you so very, very much for all of your fantastic work with us over the last few weeks. It’s been an absolute pleasure having you at Aston Hall, and we all hope to be able to work with you again in the future.
They have already been attracting attention, with visitors wandering over to them yesterday afternoon and taking their own photographs. It’s great to see the visitors curiosity taking them over to have a look, and fingers crossed that lots of the children who worked on them will return over half term with their families.

In May, Helen Lubin from Worcestershire Association of Carers said,
''Many thanks for doing the Willowcrafts workshops at our creative feel-good day for carers. I appreciated all the hard work that went into preparing for this as well as the helpful and friendly way you conducted the workshops on the day. Some have said how much they enjoyed working outdoors in a lovely space, others have commented that they especially enjoyed making something and having the end result to take home with them.''

In April, Paul repaired some willow dolphins (although someone else made them originally) at PODS in Birmingham and they sent us a link to their blog about it which had lots of good photos on.
''please see link below to POD willow blog, thank you for doing the dolphins they look great''

I’ve enjoyed the project and I did a wide range of things. We made a snake out of willow. It was good.’
